Class Logistics
Our Mission: To Explore Learn and Create We will talk, ask questions, and learn from each other and artist's before us, Thus learning new ways of looking at art. When booking this class, your child will hone in on their individuality.
Class size: Ideally 6-12 students to ensure individual attention
Materials: Pastels, watercolor paint, acrylic paint, color pencils, graphite pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, dedicated sketchbooks for each medium, still life objects, mixing palettes, paintbrushes, presentation materials
October 14 – Day 1: National Arts & Humanities Month
- Animal Drawing Pick your favorite animal to draw and color it in with oil pastels.
- Learn how to blend using your fingers for a beautiful finish in your sketchbook.
October 15 – Day 2: Halloween Fun
- Paint a spooky scene or face on a pumpkin using acrylic paint.
- Create a scarecrow masterpiece to celebrate Halloween!
🗓 November 5 – Day 1: National Native American Heritage Month
- Recreate traditional tribal patterns using shapes like circles and triangles.
- Use cutouts and layers to craft your unique design on canvas while exploring Native American heritage.
🗓 December 27 & 30 – New Year’s Celebration
- Fireworks and Goose Painting
- Paint a New Year’s scene with fireworks and a goose using acrylics on canvas.
- Add glitter and special touches to make your painting stand out!
🗓 February 17 – Day 1: Black History Month
- Donna Summer-Inspired Art
- Learn about the legendary Donna Summer and create a painting inspired by her artwork.
- While listening to 70s music, choose your favorite colors and recreate the magic of her expression.
